Warmly received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, and her executive staff members, distinguished delegates from Embassy of Japan, Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and several Japanese universities based in Thailand led by Mr. Uchida Takeshi, First Secretary, discussed collaborative activities that have been carried out in the past years, including scholarship opportunities granted by Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) and renowned universities in Japan. The group also took this opportunity to open the 22nd Japan Education Fair, in conjunction with the 34th NU Science Week, to give detailed information towards channels of scholarship applications for university staff and students and attendants from schools in lower north of Thailand. The session also included video clips from successful applicants who shared their experiences during studying in Japan and how they achieved advancement in their career paths after degree completion. Besides, prospective students could stop by for study information from booths prepared by representatives from Japanese universities.
The meeting was arranged on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 9.30 at Naresuan Room 1, Office of the President and the Fair, attended by some 170 participants, was organized at SC2-212 (Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science) at 10.30.
