On 31 August 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Naresuan University and the Nonclinical Research Institute, Chemon Inc. Chemon Inc. is the first, private Contract Research Organization (CRO) in the field of nonclinical testing in the Republic of Korea (South Korea). Representing Naresuan University at the signing ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Kornkanok Ingkaninan, Vice President for Research and Innovation Development; Assistant Professor Dr. Uthai Wichai; Assistant Professor Dr. Pornnarin Thephawarapruk, Director of the Laboratory for Animal Research; and Warisaraporn Tangchang, a veterinarian at the Animal Hospital for Research.
The MoU aims to exchange personnel between the two organizations to enhance operational skills while developing laboratories in accordance with the principles of Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Possible measures to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, especially in the areas of nonclinical safety testing and biocompatibility testing of devices were discussed during the meeting.
