You Are My Hero
ตอน “Let’s Bake a Cake! มาทำขนมกันเถอะ!”
On 8 November 2019 at Naresuan University Demonstration School (Kindergarten and Primary), K1 students joined another episode of You Are My Hero Project “Let’s Bake a Cake!” by learning how to make easy bakery from the NUDS Hero, Ms. Napasmon Hongsayaporn, the owner of a café and an expert of creative food and beverage. With her experiences of cooking, Ms. Napasmon give the students an opportunity to make “Pancake Animals” in different animal shapes and “Fizzy Drinks” applying ingredients to create bubbles. The students learned processes of making the desserts and drinks, listening to the lecture, watching the demonstration and doing the cooking experiment with great excitement.
From the “Let’s Bake a Cake!” project, the children also learned vocabulary of bakery such as bake, milk, egg, butter, toppings, flour, sugar, colors, animals that the teachers had taught before participating in the activity. This is another influential way of integrating English inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, the learning through five senses from making easy desserts and drinks helps the students, absorb the use of languages easily, naturally and happily, appropriate for development of children aged 3-4 and better than memorising from books or pictures only.
Additionally, the students practiced and learned how to create something successfully by first paying attention to small things around them, regularly searching for knowledge to further develop it and apply new experiences with creativity. Most importantly, they have learned that success does not come from expected outcomes but “small happiness” created by themselves every day.

เมื่อวันที่ 8 พฤศจิกายน 2562 ณ โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร (ปฐมวัยและประถมศึกษา) นักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 1 ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม You Are My Hero ที่สนุกสนานอีกตอนหนึ่ง คือ “Let’s Bake a Cake! มาทำขนมกันเถอะ!” โดยเรียนรู้ทดลองทำขนมอบง่ายๆ จาก NUDS Hero คือ คุณนภัสมณฑ์ หงสยาภรณ์ เจ้าของกิจการ café ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านการทำอาหารและเครื่องดื่มอย่างสร้างสรรค์ จากประสบการณ์การปรุงอาหาร คิดค้นเมนูในฐานะผู้ประกอบการร้านอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม และเป็นผู้ปกครองของฝาแฝดตัวน้อยของ NUDS คุณนภัสมณฑ์จึงเปิดโอกาสให้เด็กๆ ได้ร่วมทำกิจกรรมอบขนมแพนเค้กรูปสัตว์ “Pancake Animals” และ “น้ำหวานซู่ซ่า” ซึ่งทดลองปรับใช้วัตถุดิบที่ทำปฏิกิริยากับน้ำหวานให้เกิดความซ่าขึ้นมา ทั้งนี้ เด็กๆ ได้เรียนรู้กระบวนการการทำขนมและเครื่องดื่ม โดยรับฟังการบรรยาย ชมการสาธิต และลงมือปฏิบัติด้วยตนเอง อย่างตื่นเต้น
จากโครงการ “Let’s Bake a Cake! มาทำขนมกันเถอะ!” นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้คำศัพท์ต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับ bakery เช่น bake, milk, egg, butter, toppings, flour, sugar, colors, animals ซึ่งคุณครูได้สอนก่อนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม ซึ่งเป็นการบูรณาการภาษาอังกฤษระหว่างการเรียนรู้ภายในห้องเรียนและประสบการณ์ภายนอกห้องเรียนได้ดีอย่างยิ่ง การเรียนรู้ผ่านประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 5 จากการทำขนมและเครื่องดื่มอย่างง่ายๆ ยังทำให้เด็กๆ ซึมซับการใช้ภาษาได้อย่างง่ายดาย และได้ผลดีมากกว่าการท่องจำจากตัวหนังสือหรือภาพเพียงอย่างเดียว เป็นการเรียนรู้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติและสนุกสนาน เหมาะกับพัฒนาการของเด็กๆ ในช่วงอายุ 3-4 ปี
นอกจากนี้ เด็กๆ ยังได้ฝึกฝนและเรียนรู้ถึงการทำสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่งให้ประสบความสำเร็จ ด้วยการเริ่มต้นจากการเอาใจใส่ในสิ่งเล็กๆ ใกล้ตัว หมั่นหาความรู้มาต่อยอดเพื่อพัฒนา จนเกิดเป็นการประยุกต์สิ่งใหม่อย่างสร้างสรรค์ สิ่งสำคัญที่สุด พวกเขายังได้เรียนรู้ว่า การได้มาซึ่งความสำเร็จนั้น ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่รอคอยผลลัพท์ที่คาดหวัง แต่เป็นการสร้างความสุขทีละเล็กทีละน้อยจากการลงมือทำทุกสิ่งด้วยตัวเอง
