“Trick or Treat” Happy Halloween with NUDS!
In foreign countries, Halloween is a kids’ favourite day that people celebrate by dressing up with fancy outfits, decorating places with pumpkin lanterns or scarecrows inspired by harvest season, and playing ‘Trick or Treat’ that gives out sweets to children wearing costume as ghosts, devils or angels.
To let the students learn such a culture and festival, Naresuan University Demonstration School (Kindergarten and Primary) organised “Trick or Treat” Happy Halloween on 31 October 2019 by asking the school’s administrators, teachers, staff and K1 students to wear fancy dresses made from recycled materials or already had at home to celebrate the festival together. Apart from dressing up with spooky outfits, a fun activity was the storytelling of Jack o’ Lantern, which gave the students the background of Halloween’s symbol ‘pumpkin lantern,’ by the storyteller Associate Professor Chantana Chanbanchong, NUDS Advisor or ‘Grannie Chan’ who told the story with morals entertainingly. The highlight was the game “Trick or Treat” that encouraged the students to say the famous phrase and act with frightening manners before getting candies and chocolates from Director Dr. Sudakarn Patamadilok, Deputy Director Associate Professor Dr. Varinthorn Boonying and NUDS staff who came to join the fun activity at the school.

ในประเทศตะวันตก วันฮาโลวีนเป็นวันที่เด็กๆ ชื่นชอบ เพราะมีการฉลองด้วยการแต่งกายชุดแฟนซี ตบแต่งสถานที่เล่นด้วยโคมไฟฟักทอง หรือตุ๊กตาหุ่นฟางซึ่งได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากประเพณีเก็บเกี่ยว (Harvest) และมีการเล่น ทริค ออ ทรีท (Trick or Treat) ที่แจกขนมหวานและลูกอมให้แก่เด็กๆ ที่แต่งตัวเป็นผี ปีศาจ หรือนางฟ้า
เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมและเทศกาลต่างชาติดังกล่าว โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร (ปฐมวัยและประถมศึกษา) ได้จัดกิจกรรมสุขสันต์วันฮาโลวีน “Trick or Treat” Happy Halloween ขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2562 โดยให้ผู้บริหาร คุณครู เจ้าหน้าที่ และนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 1 สวมใส่ชุดแฟนซีที่สร้างสรรค์จากวัสดุเหลือใช้หรือมีอยู่แล้ว มาร่วมฉลองเทศกาลฮาโลวีนด้วยกิจกรรมที่สนุกสนาน เช่น ฟังนิทานเกี่ยวกับ Jack o’ Lantern อันเป็นที่มาของสัญลักษณ์วันฮาโลวีน คือ โคมไฟฟักทอง โดยท่านที่ปรึกษา รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ฉันทนา จันทร์บรรจง ซึ่งถ่ายทอดเกร็ดความรู้ผ่านนิทานได้อย่างสนุกสนาน พร้อมแฝงข้อคิดด้านคุณธรรมผ่านเรื่องราวได้อย่างน่าสนใจ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีไฮไลท์ของงาน คือ เกม “Trick or Treat” ที่ชวนเด็กๆ พูดประโยคสุดฮิตและทำท่าหลอกให้คนกลัว ก่อนจะได้รับลูกอมและขนมแสนอร่อยจากผู้อำนวยการ ดร. สุดากาญจน์ ปัทมดิลก รองผู้อำนวยการ รศ.ดร.วรินทร บุญยิ่ง คุณครู และเจ้าหน้าที่ NUDS ที่มาร่วมกิจกรรมกับเด็กๆ อย่างสนุกสนาน ณ โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร (ปฐมวัยและประถมศึกษา)
