Faculty of Engineering, Naresuan University (NU), hosted the SECRA Thailand Workshop under the project Strengthening University–Enterprise Collaboration for Resilient Communities in Asia (SECRA), a 3-year project funded by the European Commission (EU) Erasmus+ Programme.
On February 6, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Sarintip Tantanee, Acting President of Naresuan University presided over the opening of the SECRA Thailand Workshop at EN 617, Faculty of Engineering, Naresuan University. The event was honored by Prof. Dr. Kanok Wongtrangan, former adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand and member of the Thai National Assembly. Mr. Bill Ho, Director of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) Academy was the keynote speaker. The workshop was attended by participants from several countries namely: Estonia, England, Sweden, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The aim of SECRA is to contribute to more resilient communities in Asia through institutionalized, systematic, monitored, innovative, and inclusive university enterprise collaboration in disaster resilience. Assoc. Prof. Sarintip Tantanee, Acting President of Naresuan University, is the country’s leader for this workshop held for 5 days on February 6 – 10, 2023.
